Audio Talks

Here you can listen to recordings made during the last All Maps conference.

Dr. Wendy Wheeler
Reader in English at London Metropolitan University
Wendy talks about the semiotic philosophy of logic produced by Charles Sanders Peirce. Her focus is on Peirce’s idea of abductive inference and the emergent multi-disciplinary subject of biosemiotics as resources for providing theoretical underpinnings for research as embodied practice.

Dr. Julie Bacon
Artist, curator and writer
Julie will be talking about how practice-led research is furthered by the social, psychic and physical conditions of space and place; more specifically, the poetic-political implications of site-specific research.

Plenary
Summary of the conference day and open discussion around practice-led research with the participants of the conference, chaired by Chris Dorsett.
